A Lil' About Us
Thompson River Boot Company is a family owned and operated business. Daniel Gordon is a Master Bootmaker and has been making custom cowboy boots for over 20 years. Daniel's daughter Sarah is now working with him, helping with all aspects of bootmaking.

Twenty years ago Daniel first met Paul Bond at his shop in Nogales, Arizona. Paul took Daniel on a personal tour of his shop and during their conversation, he realized that Daniel had a keen interest in boots and a basic knowledge of bootmaking. Paul encouraged Daniel to begin making boots and is largely responsible for his start in bootmaking.
Daniel uses very similar techniques to both Tex Robin and Lee Miller, two of the greatest living bootmakers of all time. His construction methods are similar to Tex Robin's, while his measuring techniques are very similar to Lee Miller's.
Daniel is currently the only international bootmaker to be invited to exhibit his work at the Best of the American Bootmakers competition in Branson, Missouri.
Daniel has recently been selected as the Academy of Western Artists
26th Annual Bootmaker of the Year, Gene Autry, Oklahoma
